This Privacy Policy explains how WorkMargin handles information on your iPhone or iPad. It is written for the current version of the app.

1. Who we are

WorkMargin is a job costing app for tradies and small businesses. It is designed to help you track jobs, costs, labour and profit on the device in front of you.

2. No accounts and no WorkMargin servers

WorkMargin does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide a password. The current version does not use a WorkMargin server, cloud database, CloudKit sync, or any other WorkMargin-operated online service to store your job data.

3. Subscriptions

WorkMargin Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store. It can include a 1-month free trial, then a monthly or annual plan. Apple processes the purchase and bills your Apple ID. WorkMargin does not receive your card or bank details and does not run its own payment server.

The app stores a local record of your subscription status on this device so it can show whether you are in a free trial, Pro, or expired. That record is not sent to a WorkMargin server. You can restore purchases from Apple through the app.

4. Information stored on your device

WorkMargin stores the information you enter so the app can calculate job cost, profit and margin. That may include:

• Job details such as job name, customer name, phone number, email address, job address, job price, dates, status and notes
• Expenses such as category, description, amount, date, supplier or store name, and notes
• Worker profiles such as name, hourly or daily pay type, and default rate
• Labour entries such as the worker, date, hours or days, the rate used for that entry, and notes
• Job photos you choose to attach, stored as local copies on this device

Financial totals (total cost, profit and profit margin) are calculated on the device from that information. They are not stored as separate uploaded records. Photos do not affect cost, profit or margin.

5. Job photos

You may choose photos from your device and attach them to a job as before, progress or after photos. WorkMargin copies the selected image into the app’s private storage on this device. After that copy is made, WorkMargin does not need ongoing access to your Photos library for that image.

WorkMargin does not upload those photos to a WorkMargin server. There is no WorkMargin photo backend, remote photo URL, or developer-controlled photo database. Photos are not used for analytics, advertising, AI, profiling or tracking.

6. What WorkMargin does not collect

The current version does not:

• Sell your information
• Show advertising
• Use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
• Provide customer invoicing, quoting, job payments, payroll, GST or tax reporting
• Upload job photos or any other job data to a WorkMargin server

7. Where the information is kept

Job, cost, worker, labour and photo information is stored locally on this device using Apple’s on-device storage. WorkMargin does not transmit that information to a WorkMargin backend.

8. Access, change and deletion

You can view, edit and delete jobs, expenses, workers, labour entries and job photos inside the app. Deleting a photo removes that photo’s local file from this device. Deleting a job removes that job’s expenses, labour entries, photo records and local photo files. Deleting a worker is blocked while that worker still has labour entries, so historical job costs are not lost by accident.

Uninstalling WorkMargin removes the app and its on-device data from that device.

9. Children

WorkMargin is intended for business use. It is not directed at children.

10. Changes

If a later version of WorkMargin changes how information is handled, this policy will be updated in the app to match that version.
